Inheris helps your practice two ways
Individuals searching for care they can finally afford choose you from the Inheris directory and arrive ready to pay your rate. New demand, with no marketing spend.
When someone you already treat can't afford to continue, refer them to Inheris. The visit gets funded, instead of becoming a sliding-scale discount or bad debt.
You are paid promptly (usually in less than 7 days), not weeks or months later.
No prior authorizations, no concurrent review, no denials, no downcoding, no clawbacks, no exhausting enrollment/re-enrollment, no unpaid wasted hours.
Joining is easy and does not require purchasing any equipment or subscribing to any service. You focus on providing care.
You choose who you treat and how to deliver care. Inheris is a funding rail, not an insurance company, provider group or managed-care organization.
Getting paid by Inheris is as simple as a direct deposit, and the 7% fee does far more than move money.
The fee is deducted from your payment, never from the client/patient's award. The recipient's award goes 100% toward care.
Direct payments, no new equipment, card terminal, EHR connection, or software required.
We fund individuals and enroll providers to accept payment, we never come between you and your clients/patients.
Awards are fully funded when issued to clients/patients, no surprises.
One transparent fee per transaction. No write-offs, no surprise adjustments, no reconciliation against a remittance.
Inheris doesn't need access to your electronic health record; we don't sell software.
This is not a card-processing fee. Standard processing simply moves money you've already earned. The Inheris fee brings you the patient, guarantees the funds, and removes the collections risk, replacing patient-acquisition costs and bad-debt write-offs that typically run well above 7%.
Early intervention is particularly crucial for children with mental health issues, and the cost of care is often a barrier to obtaining help. The speed with which InherisAI can bridge this gap for underserved populations by providing immediate funding for care while the patient is in the building is vital to helping meet patients where they are at RIGHT NOW.
The program is an amazing way to help people caught in the gap due to insurance copays and high deductibles.
This is groundbreaking! We're in the process of starting an IOP program for SUD and MH. This program could potentially assist with support.

Inheris is a philanthropic payment rail, not an insurer or a managed-care organization. Here's what that means in practice.
No. The client/patient receives the awarded funds and can only use them for behavioral healthcare. You have an "Authorized Inheris Provider participation agreement", the terms under which Inheris pays you, not a billing or insurance relationship.
You charge for services at the time of service, exactly as you would for any cash-pay client/patient.
No. There is no invoice and no claim. When a visit is funded, Inheris deposits the payment directly into the bank account you have on file, over standard bank rails, nothing for your billing team to submit.
No. Every award is funded and spent at full face value, so 100% of the donor's gift goes to care. The 7% is a provider-side platform fee, deducted from your payment when Inheris pays you. It is never taken from the charitable award.
You set your own rates. Each provider or provider organization supplies its published cash rate schedule when completing the participation agreement with Inheris.
Inheris does not set rates. You determine your cash rates, sliding-scale policy, no-show policy, and related charges.
Please use your own words. In short, you might say: "We work with an organization that uses donations to fund behavioral health care. You may want to apply to see if they can cover some of your care costs. People who qualify receive $2,500 to pay for the care they need."
Alternatively: "This is a grant you can use to pay for your care, like a pre-paid healthcare card. You'll have a quick conversation with one of their team members by phone or video, and they'll probably check in about once a month, but you never have to speak with them again if you don't choose to."
Information about their financial situation, income, household circumstances, and other qualifying information. The specifics of diagnoses, clinical symptoms, and other healthcare details are not recorded. No demographic information is recorded, including legal status, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, as these protected data are never part of determining award eligibility.
No. Inheris is only a payment mechanism. We will never ask you about the client/patient, and we will never request any protected health information.
When you charge a client/patient's card, the card issuer "knows" the client/patient paid a behavioral health clinic for something, but they (and Inheris) won't know what service was provided, what diagnosis or clinical formulation was recorded, or anything beyond a payment transaction.
There's no need. Inheris is only a payment mechanism. We will never ask you about the client/patient, and we will never request any protected health information.
No. Donor funds can only be used for direct care. Your client/patient financial-responsibility agreement is always in place, and you may charge these fees directly to the client/patient.
One of our goals is to prevent providers from becoming the "donor of last resort," where a client/patient can't afford care and your professional obligations prevent you from discharging them.
An Inheris Award is designed to provide rapid access and a short-term bridge, not a replacement for insurance coverage or an ongoing financial solution. We encourage you to work with the client/patient throughout care to either conclude treatment at the end of the coverage period or make alternative arrangements, at your clinical discretion and within your clinic's policies.
No. We keep the client/patient apprised of their award balance; you don't need to pre-verify each visit. If the client/patient requests and consents, we'll send you their balance after each charge.
No. We pay for care for all ages. A parent or guardian must apply on behalf of a minor child or legally dependent adult.
Yes, as long as the other requirements are met and the associate or trainee is working within the supervision requirements of their licensure and your state.
There is none. Inheris is a philanthropic payment rail; you accept payment just like cash.
If a client/patient is using insurance and chooses to pay co-pays or their deductible share of cost with Inheris, any prior authorization for the insurance portion is governed by your existing contract with the client/patient's carrier.
No. Inheris is a philanthropic payment rail; you accept payment just like cash. There is no utilization or concurrent review.

None. Any quality or clinical outcome data would constitute protected health information, and a payment mechanism does not need, or have a right to, PHI. Inheris will never request any protected health information.
